Fr. Denis MAHER

I have just found out about the very sad loss of Fr. Denis. Last Christmas I met him aboard the Queen Victoria cruise ship. Fr. Denis celebrated Mass every day. Beautiful Masses celebrated with such reverence and joy. His Homilies were so inspiring and made a deep impression on me as he himself did. I felt I was in the presence of someone very special indeed. I know that this was his Diamond Jubilee year and he spent time with family and friends. I did receive a lovely letter from him earlier this year. God rest him and sincerest condolences to all who knew and loved him. I will never forget dear Fr.Denis.

We are so saddened to hear of the passing of Fr. Denis. Many fond memories come back to us of a priest so confirmed in, and dedicated to, his vocation in the service of God and His Church. We always enjoyed his visits to Naas especially when he popped into the parish shop, where we had many occasions to chat and catch up. He will be greatly missed. We will remember in our prayers all who mourn his loss. May his gentle and lighthearted soul rest in peace.

Father Denis Maher was a wonderful Priest and he modeled how to live faithfully in all circumstances. He often spoke of his anticipation of the joy that awaited him in death for his future life with our Lord Jesus Christ. Father Denis made a joyful difference in the lives of those he ministered to at Holy Family in South Pasadena, California. My prayers are with his family in their time of grief. Thank you for having shared Father Denis with the parishioners of Holy Family, South Pasadena, California.

Rest in Peace Fr Denis. It was always a pleasue to meet him in Blessington Parish Office when he was around during the summer months, always so cheerful and positive. My sympathies to his family and friends.

Father Denis was a wonderful priest, he was a breath of fresh air at our masses in Blessington. He had a great sense of humour, a twinkle in his eye and a smile for everyone. It was always a pleasure to be at one of his masses.
He was a true man of God and I have no doubt he has already earned his eternal reward.
We were truly privileged to have Fr Denis in our lifetime, he was everything God would have wanted in His servant on earth.
Rest easy good and faithful servant, your work on earth is now done.
