So sad and shocked to hear of the passing of Fr Derek. I worked with him when we were both in the police in Bedford UK. Also attended his masses at the Holy Cross in Bedford. May he now be at peace.

All i have are great memories of Derek. Having moved from the structures of professional life to religious life was an incredible change for him. However, his faith, resilience and commitment to the SSCC mission was his motivation and driving force. He never flaunted his intelligence and gift for lanuages.
