Sincere condolences Barbara on the passing of your Uncle, Fr. Michael. May he rest in peace.
One of the great gifts of my life was to know Fr Foley. Within the last few months I asked Ned, a man of great faith, if he believed in God and resurrection. He replied: ‘Michael if there is no God or resurrection, we’ll never find out’. There is an obituary posted on Fr Foley on Occasional Scribbles or else log on to www.michaelcommane.blogspot.com.
My sincere condolences to all of the Dominican Community and extended family of Fr Ned.
May his gentle soul rest in Peace and the light of heaven shine on him. Amen.
We will all miss Fr Ned dearly.
On behalf of thousands of students, score of teachers who attended, taught at Holy Cross College, Arima, Trinidad, we offer deepest, most sincere condolences to dearly loved ones and many close acquaintances, on the recent passing of our Most beloved, respected , long serving Principal, Fr. Edward ‘Ned’ Foley.

Few of us had the privilege of becoming closely acquainted with him owing to the nature of educational institutions, yet he will be remembered as an integral part of our impressionable, formative years. He was brilliant, focused, a stern disciplinarian, a devoted leader. We are thankful for his stewardship , blessed to have attended our incomparable Alma Mater ‘in his time’ We shall always treasure the memory of ‘’The Father of Holy Cross College’’, Fr. Foley. We are assured that his Heavenly Father shall remember him.

So very sorry to learn of Fr. Michael’s passing, a great friend to me ,and my Daughters Tara and Victoria, we’re all saddened by Fr. Michael’s passing, may his Noble soul rest in great peace 🙏
Our condolences to Michael's family and Dominican Brothers. Michael , along with his brothers Fr Gerry and Fr Paddy were like three extra much loved uncles to us Their visits were always eagerly anticipated. We remember Michael for his great intelligence and gentleness. His presence added so much to any special family occasion including the christening of our daughter Meabh. Michael has borne the last few years of ill health so graciously and was still such lovely company even when limited to the phone. My parents, Fintan and Gene, will greatly miss Michael. For us it is the end of an era as the last Foley brother passes away.
