It is with much sadness I see that Canon Erill has passed over. He was a credit to the Roman Catholic Priesthood. He was a true Pastor with a great sense of humour. I will cherish his many visits to see us at Homepharm Pharmacy. Sincere Condolences to his family.
I would like to convey my sympathy to members of Fr Erill's family members and others who were in contact with him in recent years. I only heard of his passing as his funeral mass was concluding. I had strong supportive contact with him at the time of the deaths of my wife Brighid and then, four years later, of our son Davoren. I always regarded him as a wonderful priest and a very considerate man. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dhílis.
Condolences to all who mourn the amazing, inspirational Fr O'Connor. Like so many we watched the celebration of his Requiem Mass in the church he loved so well. May his gentle soul now rest in peace. We remember him fondly from our childhood in Donabate and later, with our parents John and Bridget, meeting him during his long ministry in Drumcondra.

Sincere sympathy to all the O'Connor family on the death of Fr. Erill, R.I.P. His long life of dedicated and fruitful ministry over so very many years in the diocese will surely achieve a great place and reward in heaven. I spent 10 very happy and fulfilled years in Finglas West parish from 1981 and always found him to be a supportive and encouraging parish priest of all initiatives that help build up the community. "Blessed are the dead who died in the Lord, now they can rest forever after their labours since their good deeds go with them." United in prayer in theses restrictive days.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Father O'Connor and will be sorely missed as he was a positive towering influence as P.P. in Finglas West. May he rest in peace.
Fr Erill was an outstanding friend, mentor and pastor to our family, the Clearys of Drumcondra, particularly to my parents, Mairin and Eamonn Cleary.

His pastoral care continued into the following generations of our family, and he was particularly caring of our four grandchildren. As an exceptional pastor it is fitting that he returned to God just after Good Shepherd Sunday.

It is with the greatness sadness that I have learned of Canon Errill's passing. He was my first Parish Priest in Finglas West when I went there at the end of 1980. He was wonderful to work with. His positive, cherry, and bright disposition was a major encouragement to all of us. Side by side with his great commitment to parish and pastoral work he always made time for his family and many friends that he accumulated in his various appointments over the years.
I would like to extend my sincere and genuine sympathy to all his family and friends at this moment. I think it is very fair to say that he has really touched the lives of all of us who were privileged to know and work with him.
May his generous soul enjoy the rewards for his life's dedication and commitment. Farewell dear friend until we meet again.
