Deepest sympathy to Father Fintan's relatives and friends and the wider communities that he served. I remember him as an excellent Physics, Chemistry and Maths teacher in St. Pat's and a good mentor to a young boarder. Was so pleased that he subsequently married us in Glenfarne.

The first time I saw Fintan He was playing minor club full back in ballyconnell. He was a joy to watch. If he continued playing the game through the 60ths we would have won all Ireland’s in that decade. However that’s in the past. May he rest in peace. A good honest gentleman and also humble.
