When Fr. Harry first arrived in Darwin, Minnestoa, it was very exciting to meet him, especially since Dennis's Family are Irish. Many questions on Ancestry , and just about Ireland .We invited him to Thanksgiving, and that became a ritual for 34 years. What a joy to listen to his many stories, and talk, play games and such. We missed him terribly when he retired to Ireland, and even more so now to hear of his passing. Condolences to all the Behan Family. And a Thank you to you all for sharing your Families when we came to stay at Harry's .He will be greatly missed.
Sincere condolences to all in the Behan family on their sad loss of Harry. Many happy memories of him in younger days and since his return home. Always in good form and ready for a laugh. May He Rest In Peace.
Our heartfelt sympathy to all of Father Harry's family. He was our parish priest here in St. Peter, Minnesota and he touched our hearts in many ways. He gave beautiful, thought-provoking homilies, and interacted with the children so well, and they loved him (our kids went to John Ireland School). But perhaps the most meaningful for us, was how he took us under his wing and counseled us after we lost our 7 month old son to SIDS. We are so grateful.
And of course, we can't forget how he shepherded our parish after the destruction of the 1998 tornado that destroyed our church; he brought us through a time of finding worship space and of rebuilding.
May our loving Lord greet Harry and bring him to his everlasting home.
While I wasn't a member of Father Harry's church, I will never forget him and the very kind words he had whenever we interacted. There was almost always a smile on his face and our St. Peter, Minnesota community will never forget his steady leadership during the aftermath of the 1998 tornado. He was a man who even years after he last lived in St. Peter, is still talked about with fondness and love by all who knew and cherished his presence. He will be missed and I will say a prayer for all who loved him. May he rest in peace!
Our deepest sympathy to The Behan family , may Fr. Harry rest in peace
Our deepest sympathy to the Behan family. Father Harry was a good friend and a caring and loving leader of the Catholix Church of St Peter. His wise and open minded leadership brought many Christians together especially after the tornado in 1998.His strong personality help pull our community together and build a new Catholic church while working with other denominations to provide a place to wordhip during the construction process.
We have missed him greatly since he had to leave due to his health, but apprecisted his contact while his health allowed!
We were very fortunate to have the right leader in a time of crisis, and we will be forever grateful for his leadership!
Rest in peace Father Harry, you served us well!

My deepest sympathy goes out to the Behan family. May you be blessed, and find comfort.

Fr. Harry will be fondly remembered by everyone whose life he touched. He was a beautiful soul who cared deeply for his parishioners. His a friendly, caring and compassionate personality, touched with a great sense of humour, earned him lasting friendships that extended beyond those of our parish family. It is safe to say that Fr. Harry loved St. Peter and St. Peter loved Fr. Harry. It is therefore no surprise that after retiring, he made St. Peter his home for a few years before returning to his beloved Ireland and family. I will ever be thankful for the time that we had Fr. Harry in our midst, and I am grateful that he kept in touch with many of us for as long as his health allowed him to do so. May light perpetual shine upon you, Father Harry, as you enjoy the eternal home that was prepared for you.

My deepest sympathy to Fr. Harry’s family and friends. The Lord sent this beautiful man into my life to counsel, comfort, laugh with, pray with, and support myself and my family. Many of these times were just plain fun; others were in time of need. He had a good heart and will be deeply missed.
My sincere condolences to the family of Fr. Behan and to his Congregation. I remember his wonderful homilies when he was the Parish Priest for our church here in Saint Peter, Minnesota (USA). This is how I got to know him, even though I am from Ghana. His human touch and concern for others made him a wonderful Parish Priest. It's thanks to him that I volunteered to be a lector in our church at the time. May the Almighty reward him for his sacrifices and work on this earth.

Dear Family of Father Harry Behan,

My sincere sympathy to all of you on the death of Father Harry! I had the privilege of working with Father the entire time he was in St. Peter. We had many good times, some very hard times especially after the 1998 tornado. But he was an awesome, faithful minister to all of us here. We missed him dearly after he left St. Peter. But we rest in the wonderful reality that he was with all of you in Ireland for the last years. He touched so many lives here in MN & was greatly respected by our ecumenical community as well. Thank you for sharing him with our New Ulm Diocese over the years.
May God give him rest & peace. May he become our angel & guide in our lives!
May you all be blessed during this sad time.
With gratitude for knowing Harry. Kay Osborne

So very sorry to hear that Father Harry passed away. He was a great blessing to the St. Peter community and an incredible parish leader, especially during the tornado. He attended many of our Wenner family holidays while here. We were so blessed to have him as an honorary family member. Especially funny was the year the five grandsons received laser tag sets and he put one on and chased them around with great theatrical skills. We love him so and will cherish the memories. God speed Father Harry! Sympathy to his entire family and all those who loved him like family here in St. Peter, Minnesota.

Would love to be able to watch the service. Will it be available through a livestream or Facebook at the Church.
Sincere sympathy to you all on the sad passing of Fr harry.may he rest in peace
