Bert was loved by all who knew him and will be fondly remembered. Thank you for all you did in your life to help, guide and comfort those around you. Rest in Peace Fr. Bert
Herbie and I were friends for 84 years. I was five years old when the Bromley family moved in next door to us in Chapel St. I spent much of my time in there and knew the family well. Even though war had started and
rationing introduced and commodities scarce we youngsters had a good time in our own way. Herbie, Evelyn Cassidy and I were great friends and had lots of fun. Sadly Evelyn died young. Herbie returned to the family home when he retired and took his last breath there on Tuesday, may rest in peace
Deepest condolences to the family and friends of fr Herbie. A man with a quiet word for everyone. A true gentleman, and what a vocation. May he rest in peace.
Our sincere condolences to Fr Bert's family at this very sad time. He was a lovely person , we knew him for years in Bluebell parish Dublin and he actually married is 1993.
May he Rest in peace
Farewell old friend. You brought so much joy and laughter to many people may you rest now in joyful peace.
RIP Fr Bert. Thanks for the memories. A very funny individual who had great one line jokes.

"I remembered he was saying a mass in Inchicore. " As Henry the 8th said to his wife, I won't keep you long". He had the Chapel in hysterics.

I was talking about him recently, nothing but good things to say about him and that shows, how highly he was thought off.

Safe journey Fr Bert. 🙏
Bert was larger than life. He had a great presence and a down to earth and unassuming way.
He was a committed pastor with an infectious laugh. An Oblate of Mary Immaculate to his fingertips.
He was dedicated to his vocation and had a great humanity.
Our sincerest condolences to his family.
Ar dheis Déi go raibh a h-anam.

My condolences to all Fr Herbie's family and the Oblate community. Herbie's sister Teresa was my aunt Dympna (Duffy McIntyre, College St) friend from childhood. And my late mum, Maureen(Duffy Kiely) knew all the Bromley family too down thro the years. I used to meet Fr Herbie quite often up at the Rock graveyard when I was visiting my husband's, my parents and my family grave. He used to joke that we'll be neighbors one day as the graves were adjacent to each other. May God rest him and reward him for a lifetime of service to the Lord.
Deepest sympathies to the Bromley family on the death of Fr Herbie. He was a wonderful man who lived life to the fullest. We kept in touch for years and I have many fond memories of him. May he RIP.
Sincere condolences to all of Fr Herbie's family on his passing. Both he, and his wonderful late brother Willie, were true friends to my late Uncle Michael ( Keane ) and all the Keane family for well over sixty years. Fr Herbie enriched every company he came in contact with throughout his life with his cheerful disposition and sharp wit.
Our prayers and thoughts are with the Bromley family at this sad time.

Ní fhacamíd a leithéid ann arís.
Our prayers and thoughts are with all the Bromley family at this time of great loss on our hearing of the passing of Fr. Herbert. We all remember his infectious smile and love in words and song as a dear family friend. Incline, O Lord, Thine ear to our prayers, in which we humbly beseech Thy mercy, that Thou wouldst place the soul of Thy servant, Herby which Thou hast caused to depart from this world, into Heaven in peace and light; and unite in the fellowship of Thy Saints, Through Christ our Lord, Amen.
