My deepest sympathy to the O Flynn Family and the Rosminian Community on the passing of a true gentleman, Fr Jim. I had the great pleasure of working under his Management at St Patricks Upton back in the 1980s. It was such a wonderful experience.
He had a great respect for Staff and Residents alike. Our lives were enriched under his guidance. May he rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to the Flynn family and the Rosminian community on the loss of Fr Jim. I have fond memories of my time working for and with him in Upton. He was a great man to roll up his sleeves and get on with the job he planted and harvested spuds with the lads for many years.It wasn’t all work and no play because Fr Flynn also played hurling with the lads at lunchtime and the competition was fierce at times. His natural family his religious family his many friends and neighbours in Upton will miss him and we will keep him in our thoughts and prayers. May he rest in peace

On behalf of the Innishannon branch of Fine Gael I would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the families, friends, community, and neighbours on the death of your beloved Fr Jimmy Flynn , R I P. May he Rest In Peace and rewarded a very special place in his new found heavenly home after a fulfilling Christian . Fr Jimmy, was a worker, his hands did the talking, and led by example , and that was clearly evident, in the preparation for the steam Rally, in Upton which was the biggest, rally in Ireland. We had many dealings with him, in the continuous improvements of the services for the residents, and the provision of goods and services , for the overseas development programmes. He loved the land , and everything rural, and would have been a great farmer, as he never looked at his watch, when he was cultivating, repairing, and doing the simple things around the place. I worked on the many committees, during his time in Upton, meetings were short , but the agenda, was always completed , and decisions secured. Fr Jimmy you served your masters well, will be greatly missed, your love of people, especially those special people, who require support and independence , you gave them a new life. I could imagine, the conversation, you will have, with another great person, who served, Upton well, but sadly, was called home early the late paddy Brennan. May you rest easily in the soil in Upton, and god bless you, and look after you. John OSulivan

I speak of the Rev Fr O Flynn, R I P . May he Rest In Peace and rewarded for his goodness and kindness in life, and the leadership he gave to staff, residents , ensured that the residents, got the highest quality of care, and freedom to be entegrated, in the local community. He loved the land , and everything about living in a rural environment. May he Rest easy in his final resting place.
