Fr. John Duggan

Sincere condolences to the Duggan family on the loss of Fr. John. I only recently became aware of his passing. He was very helpful to me when he gave me my first job as a Primary Teacher in Ballyragget many years ago.His energy and of course his stories about Boston and the Pittsburgh Steelers were unforgettable. Regular tea breaks in the Bennett family kitchen were a joy. We remained friends and he often stayed with us when he visited Knock/Mayo.

He was a great friend and neighbour to us when he was a curate in Johnstown and would often call in to me in St Kieran's College when he was home. I have fond memories of the late night tap on the sitting room window as he called in to my parents for the cup of tea and a chat.
