We were all deeply saddened of the passing of Malachy, we offer our condolences to his sister, and extended family, also to his Augustinian Community. Malachy was so highly thought of in Drogheda, a great religious man and a dear friend to us. He had such a great interest in youth. Our family thought the world of Malachy, he always kept our daughters and son in his prayers and many times offered Mass for them during Exams, he would tell us afterwards. May god grant Fr. Malachy his true reward in heaven. Pamela, Christy, Nìamh, Gràinne and Christopher. Drogheda.
We were so sorry to learn of Fr. Malachy’s death, we pray for the heavenly repose of His precious soul with all His loved ones gone before him. We offer our heartfelt sympathy to Sr. Clare, His extended Family, His Augustinian Colleagues, especially those in St. Augustine’s Care Home & His many loyal friends in Drogheda & Fethard where He will be very fondly remembered. May God grant His consoling grace to Sr. Clare & all who mourn Fr. Malachy’s great loss.

My memories go back to St. Mary's Girls' School, Dublin Rd. in the late 1950s. You, the Loughrans were such a wonderful family but then you had great parents too.
