Deepest sympathy to each member of Martin's family, and to the many friends who have made the journey with Martin over the years. I think especially of the many people who were part of the journey with Martin, within The Charismatic Renewal Movement. May all who were touched by you find Hope, Faith & comfort in these days & may your spirit of openness to the new flourish in each of our lives. Rest in Peace Martin, man of God
"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints" (Psalm 116v15). Martin is one of His saints and is now enjoying His glory and His presence. Martin was one of the best preachers in the Catholic Church. I remember his frequent injunction at 7pm Mass in Holy Family Parish - "its not about coming to Mass, its about a personal relationship with Jesus" Thank you Father God for Martin's clarity on the Kerygma of the gospel; raise up many more priests in Ireland with a similar clarity of preaching, in Jesus name. Amen
rest in peace Fr. Tierney, I enjoyed reading your articles in the Irish Catholic.
Martin we remember all the good work you did in regard
to helping the victim of cults. You were a pioneer in this field in Ireland. You recently said we would meet after you came out of the Hospice. We will indeed, in sure hope of the resurrection. Mike Garde
Fr Martin you will be sadly missed. May your gentle soul rest in peace. Katherine Tierney
