My condolences to all the Fitzgerald family and to the Augustinian community on the passing of Fr Chris. I have lovely memories of his kind welcome and generosity when I spend the summer of 1981 at his home in Chone.

I offer my sincere sympathy to the Fitzgerald family and to the Augustinian Fathers. I am grateful to Fr. Michael for the times he and the Augustinians welcomed me to St. Augustine's Seminary in Jos, Nigeria, and to their home in Ballyboden. A special greeting to Sr. Mary (Michael) with whom I worked for many years in the Diocese of Rustenburg, South Africa. May God give eternal rest to Fr. Michael and console those who mourn his passing.
