Sorry to hear about the loss of Oliver. Our thought's and prayers are with the Leavy family at this sad time.
I spent 12 months in Kiltegan from September 1969 and Fr Oliver was in charge of the seminarians Spiritual Year. He was a most fair and compassionate man that I still remember fondly to this day. May he now enjoy the heavenly reward that he so richly deserves. Gone but never forgotten
Fr. Oliver Leavy had a huge impact on my life and that of many other youngsters in the St. Peter’s RC Church in Gouyave, especially in Spiceisland Youthquake. Because of him, a small church choir in Gouyave, Grenada became SIY and got to travel to England, Scotland, Ireland, USA and Canada performing. I was blessed to have had him as my spiritual leader in my early years. He was true to his calling... a great priest. One of my fondest memories was waking up fore day morning to go to early morning mass with him in Florida and Clozier. My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. RIP Fr. Leavy 🙏🏽.
To Aideen, Dermot and family

Please accept the deepest sympathies from the management and members of Spice Island Youthquake on the death of Fr. Oliver Leavy, one of our founders.
He was well loved and respected by the group and the people of Grenada. He helped put Grenada on the world stage by organising tours to England, Ireland, Scotland, USA and Canada where we showcased our cultural heritage and friendship. These experiences have helped our members develop professionally and also created a lasting bond between Ireland and Grenada.
He was one of a kind who trusted us and believed in our abilities to achieve great things. We trusted his insights and his dedication to the group and people of Grenada, and together we were able to build cultural bridges through music, song and dance.
May his soul rest in peace.

Founding member of Spice Island Youthquake
