We are very saddened to hear of the passing of Fr. Ollie, a dedicated and highly respected man who had a lifelong passion for camogie. He was a true champion of our sport and a guardian of its history, always insisting that the hurley be in hand in camogie photographs so the game was clearly recognised, and that everyone pictured was properly named and recorded. His legacy will live on in the passion he inspired in so many for camogie.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, and parish community.

I was saddened to hear of the death of Fr. Oliver. I extend my deepest sympathy to the O'Reilly family his fellow priests and all who mourn him. He left a passion for camogie as his legacy in all the parishes he ministered in along with his involvement in the book "The History of Cavan Camogie". I have fond memories of road trips with Fr. Oliver from the gaeltacht in Donegal in the summer of 1979 to play for Cavan. We in Templeport have many great memories of those camogie days.
