Fr Oscar was a great friend to my mothers family the Crowley / Keating family of Victoria Rd. My late Uncle was Fr Walter Crowley Ofm.

I have fond memories of him calling to my mum for a chat and bringing her holy communion.

The Lord has called him home his work on this earth is done. May he rest in peace.

Fr Oscar was a friend of our late Dad from his time in Drogheda and ever since then. He always called in to visit our parents when passing.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam. Fr Oscar was such a memorable part of my childhood. He played football with us talked to us convinced us to join the choir. Thank you for your time and patience with us when we were children growing up in Mell, drogheda in the ‘80’s.

He was good humoured ,kind and understanding.I loved going to confession to him.He always said “apart from those sins,you are a saint the rest of the time.Go out now and light up the world with your smile “.
I am so sad to hear of his death.I brought him back rosary beads years ago from Medugorje and he was so gracious.Think he was more used to giving than receiving.

So sorry to hear of Fr Oscar passing. I used to often meet him out in bishopscourt every Sunday morning where he would visit my uncle Donie and auntie Shelia and give them a blessing and communion. They would enjoy his visits. May he rest in peace.

Fr Oscar was a priest before his time.
I remember him as a child in our Parish in Mell Drogheda. As a child in the 80s his guitar singing Elvis in our school. He seemed old to me then but was probably only my age now 40s!
He introduced Alter Girls in Mell myself and my friends were very proud to serve mass. We had fun excursions to Bray amusements. These memories I will always cherish.
Fr Oscar was a legendary Priest always

My uncle was based in Tampa in Florida but always stayed in Broad Lane when he was home. He also spent time in Killarney,Clonmel and Galway. May Fr Oscar rest in peace.

So sad to hear of the passing of Oscar he was our Parish Priest in Mell for many a year and we became very good friends
and many a joke we told each other we even moved him back to Cork when he finished in Mell and we stayed for the weekend there with him
he always stayed in touch so my good friend RIP we will miss you

Fr Tom ( Oscar ) was my Mums cousin and stayed connected all her life, from Fr Toms Ordination in Rome in 1965 to my Dads ( Pat) final days. We were thrilled that Fr Tom celebrated our daughter’s wedding in Kinsale in 2016. At Dheis De go raibh a anam.

Up to just very recently, Fr. Oscar was a regular visitor to us in Waterloo. He dearly loved the chat about days gone by. We shall miss his warm smile.
