Rest in Peace, Fr. Pat. I'll never forget you and your wicked sense of humor while I was alter girl at Holy Infant.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Father Pat. My stepfather, mother, and sister were Catholic and we spent a lot of time at Holy Infant of Prague in Trussville. He would come over to our house for events like Easter and would play games like tic tac toe. The world lost a good man, but Heaven gained one!

Our sincere condolences to Fr Paddy's sisters, nieces, nephews and extended family on his passing. We were very fortunate to have Fr Paddy as a concelebrant at our marriage in the Cathedral a few years ago and in true Fr Paddy style he was unable to attend the reception afterwards as he was going to a Dr Crokes match!
He was always very kind and generous with his time, in particular since the summer checking in on everyone in Muckross. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam uasal dílis.

I got to know Fr. Paddy while we were both retired in Killarney, meeting him in the town occasionally and through being friends with close friends of his. He was simply a really really nice, grámhar man. His loss to his relatives and close friends is immense; my deep sympathy to them.

Father Paddy's life proclaimed the Gospel and the Love of God with great Joy. His gentle way of caring for and loving others spoke of the Love of God. As in the song sung, "Here I am, Lord", Father Paddy truly held the Lord's people in his heart.
In Alabama he will always be remembered as our beloved Father Pat. His great Faith and all his goodness remain with us.
Thanks be to God for Dearest Father Paddy, a beautiful Priest and gentleman.
May God console and strengthen all his dear family and all his dear ones in Killarney.

RIP Fr. Paddy. There was a wonderful energy and directness to him. He was always a welcome presence at family events and will be sadly missed. He was very good to his Muckross cousins last year after we lost his namesake.

He was a shining example of all that is best in human nature and the priesthood. A word for everyone and a salute from his car as he speeded along to his next job or mission.
He was a great communicator and his sermons at mass were both thought provoking and witty.

Wr are so sorry to learn about Fr Paddy’ death. He was a very good friend to my parents Denis and Mary Ursula. Maeve and I are so appreciative for the Masses he gave for my brother Frank and my mother. He was a kind and supportive man. I will always remember the kindness he showed to my cousin Miriam Galvin during Frank’s anniversary mass in Killarney. May he rest in peace.
