Sincere sympathy to Fr Pádraig's natural and Augustinian families on his passing. He was the epitome of Christianity, humble, loving, caring, hard working, dedicated, genuine, devout, most approachable and non judgemental, It's little wonder The Lord called him early.

While every human being is unique, Fr. Padraig was a bit more unique than most. He reminded me of someone who frequently looked at himself in a mirror and then proceeded to make derogatory remarks about what he saw. You could call it humility I suppose. Now that you can see the REAL you Fr .Padraig, I trust that you are pleasantly surprised.
May you revel forever in the rapturous joys of paradise.

Heartfelt condolences to Maura, Micheál, Declan and to all of the Augustinians. I have nothing but fond memories of Fr Pádraig. Whether we met in the church, around Cork city centre, or on Hartlands Avenue, he always had time to chat, to laugh, and to impart some wisdom. He was truly a breath of fresh air, and he will be so missed by all who knew him.

Shocked and saddened as to the sudden passing of Fr Padraig. Gortex jacket and in quick step to catch the 216 bus most days up Hartlands Ave, on the way to see his mum in St Finbarrs, for many years. He was,what one would hope,all priests should be; kind, considerate, tolerant and a wicked sense of humour. He called me a pagan one day when I espoused my non belief in one God...I loved it and made me laugh. He was truly unique.

I was shocked and saddened at the sudden death of Fr Padraig. Fr Greg captured the essence of this unique, outspoken man to a tee in his funeral homily which I attended online. He was very much his own man and I greatly admired him for that. My sympathy to his family, his OSA confrères, Fr Walsh and Fr Brophy. We'll miss him. Ní beidh a leithéad ann arís.

I was so sad and shocked to read of the passing of dear Fr Twohig rip. He always kept things light hearted , but had such empathy when he knew someone needed to be listened to ,he gave all his time .Last year i was in St Agustines Church with my daughter and my baby grand daughter. I asked him would he bless the baby. Without hesitation he came outside the office and said beautiful words and blessed her. He prayed for protection ,that in this fearful world that she is facing , she would be safe. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
