In my mind’s eye, I picture a friendly smile, tender words, and a loving attitude. Father Patrick will be missed, but he will continue to live on in everyone’s memories who had the honor of getting to know him.

One of Fr. Pat McNamara's legacies is that he helped to preserve the memory of Irish missionaries in Brazil by way of a donation of books, written by missionaries, to the National Library, Brazil, and which form part of a current exhibition there about the Irish in Brazil.

Joe, Dympna, Francis, Cillian and Lydia, Lorcan, Ronan, Mary Liz and Anne, our hearts go out to you all at this sad time. Even though Fr. Pat was ill, his death was sudden. Parting is never easy. You will all be in our thoughts and prayers over the coming days.
