It is with sorrow that I learned of Pat's passing when I rang Drakelands this morning. Our sincerest condolences and sympathy to all the Comerford family at this sad time. We had been the close friends since meeting in St Kierans in 1960. He sealed this friendship by taking my Mum and Dad to meet his parents.I was honoured to be invited to his first Mass a few years later. We shared life's ups and downs and Pat was always there to help, hold a hand and advise.
He was the nicest person I ever met and reading through this list of condolences I can see that I am not alone.
I will miss you Father Pat and pray that you have the highest place in heaven

Very sorry to hear of Pat's death. He was a year or two ahead of me in St Kieran's College. He was a gentleman then, and ever afterwards.

A Priest Thou Art Forever

To live in the midst of the world without wishing for its pleasures; to be a member of each family and yet belong to none; to share all sufferings, to penetrate all secrets, to heal all wounds; to go from man to God and offer Him their prayers; to return from God to man to bring pardon and hope; to have a heart of gold for charity a heart of bronze for chastity; to teach to pardon, to console and bless always. My God, what a life! And it is yours, O priest of Jesus Christ.
