A gentleman of distinction, a brilliant scholar, a credit to the Catholic church. May he rest in peace.
A truly great human being, full of life, love and laughter. As professor of sacred eloquence, excellent, practised what he preached. As Editor of the Furrow, excellent also. Filled the shoes of famous founder J.G. McGarry with distinction. A brilliant story teller and raconteur. I am truly sorry to have missed his funeral. Sincere sympathy to all of his family, priests and students in Maynooth and in the Meath diocese.
Deepest Sympathy to the family on the death of fr Ronan. He was a gentleman and he had time for everybody. He will be sadly missed. May he rest in peace.
Fr. Drury was my elocution teacher in St. Patrick's College, Maynooth, during 1962 and 1963. He also produced the student plays at that time. A lovely man he gave me very helpful personal attention and his class, etc., remained one of my outstanding memories of Maynooth. The main reason he lived so long, in my opinion, is that his personality was relaxed and free of tension.
We felt deeply saddened at the news of Ronan's passing. We have been lucky that we could see and talk to him last week.
May he rest in peace.

I felt deeply saddened at the news of Ronan's passing. May he rest in peace. I often found him to be a wise counsellor and attentive listener during my time of discernment in Maynooth. I was very glad to have been able to continue the friendship after my ordination.
He will be greatly missed.
He will be greatly missed.
Ronan acted as my spiritual director in Maynooth and his common sense and enlightened approach to life was an inspiration. I have the most tremendous respect for his memory and will miss our occasional chats over the phone and his sense of humour. May his soul bask in the Light of the Lord.
