Sincere sympathy to all of of Fr. Seamus's family on his sad passing. I got to know Fr. Seamus during his time in St.Matthew's church in Ballyfermot. He was a wonderful human being.

I was very sorry to hear recently about the death of Fr Seamus. As a teacher in Ballyfermot I admired his living of the gospel, his kindness and his wisdom. May he rest in peace.

I was privileged in 1987 to join my parish group in a Pastoral Ministry course in St. Patrick’s College Thurles organised & inspired by Fr Seamus Ryan. He lived the gospel in word and deed. It’s tragic that he wasn’t chosen to lead a diocese and the Irish Church. May he rest in peace, bless us and inspire us to be better.

So sorry to hear of the death of Fr Seamus. Our condolences to his family and extended family. I only knew him as a great hurler with his brother Liam. I count it an honour to have played against him once in Castleconnell when I was very young. He was a fine hurler. I’m sending this on behalf of Willie who can’t be with us who would have liked to attend. I’m sure they will have a good chat about hurling and matches now above. May his soul Rest In Peace.

Sincerest condolences on the passing of Fr. Seamus. A friend from school days in Ennis he was always an inspiration in everything he tried. We met in Templemore when I was married first and he was in Thurles. Later when we both came to Dublin we met again. The many messages about him caught accurately his extraordinary intellect and his great humility and a lovely gift of being able to be a friend and a pastor. He will be sorely missed. I am sure he has received his just reward from a loving God.

Seamus are from the 70's Many times he addressed the Munster catechetical and Limerick catechetical associations .His inspirational talks were like manna from Heaven. He lifted our spirits with stories and mental images. His retreats were very uplifting. May he rest in peace.

Our sincere sympathy to Fr. Seamus' sisters and the extended Ryan family on his death. We had the great privilege of participating in a Pastoral Ministry Certificate course as part of a group of 13 parishioners from Boherlahan/Dualla and parishes in the Killenaule aea in the late 1980's. He facilitated an inclusive course and encouraged a free exchange of views on the true meaning of Church. The depth and scope of the course was memorable. . A thoughly wonderful Christian man, may Fr. Semus rest in peace

It was with extreme sadness that we heard of the death of dear Dr. Seamus. We had the pleasure of meeting him in 1974 and it was the beginning of a wonderful friendship. He introduced us to so many things and events and we constantly remember him when visiting restaurants and theatres. In fact, the last time we met him was in the Bord Gais theatre. He was the chief celebrant at our wedding and we still treasure the wedding candle which he gifted us.
Seamus was a most wonderful person and his gentle personality hid his wonderful intellect. His love of travel was only one aspect to his interest in humanity and his great understanding of all cultures. He will be forever remembered in our hearts.
