Deepest condolences to Fr. Tommy's fsmily. He was a great friend to me during my 5 years as a boarder in St. Wolstan's. He was a marvellous chaplain- kind, patient, hilariously funny, generous with his time and advice which was always wise. He helped me to keep my sanity through the difficult teenage years and wrote me a lovely reference when I left school. I regret not having kept in contact. May his lovely gentle soul rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of Fr. Tommys death. What a character. His faith was more than a Sunday word. He saw it and lived it as a practical, central necessity of life . For Tommy faith was a daily theme. He had a great faith in God, faith in people , faith in the future.
There was something contagious and infectious about his view of life. The windows of his heart always stayed open to the morning.
Thanks Tommy. Rest in peace
Fr. Ml Murtagh , Ballyroan
Sincere condolences to Fr. Mac's family. It was an honour and a privilege to have Fr. Mac as our parish priest in Lucan and the Tech for so many years. He had a deep faith that he shared with us, always with that touch of mischief and humour when you least expected it, leaving us falling around the floor laughing. He was committed to his community, and he and my late Dad spent a lot of their time fundraising for every organisation in Lucan, particularly for, at that time, us kids. He was very supportive of young people. He will always be remembered in our house as a great priest, a fantastic human being, and a wonderful friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time and great loss in your lives. Suaimhneas sioraí dá anam, may Fr. Mac rest in peace. Fr Tommy was very proactive for the communities he served.
