So very sorry to hear of Fr Bobby's passing. Enjoyed our time in Medjugorje with him. I got him a gift of a "Stole" last trip and he was most thankful for it.

Father Billy was a really lovely man. I met him in recent years at the swimming pool in Roscommon. He made lots of friends there and he will be missed.

Dear family and friends of Fr. Billy, I had the privilege of being with him the last two years in Medjugorje and found him to be one of the humblest priests I have ever met. He suffered a lot but carried it joyfully by uniting it with the suffering of Jesus for the sake of the salvation of others in need of God's mercy. The Church in Ireland is poorer for his death but the Church in Heaven is richer. May the Lord receive Fr. Billy into His ever-loving arms in union with Jesus and the Holy Spirit and all the angels and saints. He has received the reward of his work bringing lost souls to God and encouraging those struggling with the Faith. He was a holy priest.

So sorry to hear of Billy's death. Our condolences to Liz, Ronnie and Kate together with the Connaughton family and our regrets that we cannot attend his funeral as we are away at present. I have lovely memories of a holiday in 1965 with Billy, Peter and Paula in Hunter's Caravan Park in Galway. Great times. The number of condolences and the feelings expressed in them says it all about him.

We were out in Medjugorje at Easter and was at Mass on Easter Sunday morning when Fr. Billy read the Gospel. A truly wonderful priest...the world is certainly poorer with his passing. RIP Fr. Billy.
