Sincere condolences Lena, Stefan, Eric and the Devereux family. Fran will be hugely missed by so many. He was one of the first people I met when I started in Capel Buildings and Fran sat in the front reception. His twinkling eyes and shy smile will always stay with me. A true gentleman.

I met Fran when we worked in D.C.C.'s Welfare Section and continued contact with him when he moved to Homeless Services. He was unfailingly kind and cheerful and treated everyone with great respect. He never refused to help, made it easy to ask, and the world is a poorer place without him.

Fran really cared and was a decent , determined, witty and unassuming man with a big heart. Our paths have only crossed intermittently in recent years but he left an indelible mark on the lives of all the people he met and helped. Your family should be very proud of their husband and Dad. Fran was a one in a million character. He brought so much light and laughter into every room he entered- no matter how bad the day was going! His kindness, passion, humour and straight talking helped many people on their worst days.
