To his family and friends I knew Fran from Dunphys in DunLaoghaire when I worked there many years ago. I have very fond memories of him and how kind he was to me. He was an absolute gentleman, very considerate and just genuinely lovely guy. May he RIP. Pauline.

It is with great sadness we heard of Fran’s death. A gentleman true & true. We had great days working on the Dun Laoghaire horse show.

John, we are all thinking of you at this very sad time. A massive shock for you. I have no doubt that Dad and Fran are having a pint and a cigarette together having a good auld laugh. Fran was such a character and such a happy joyful human. His laugh was the best.

Look after yourself. Here if you need anything. Keith is very sorry he won't make the funeral. He is not home from Bali until Friday, he will contact you then. Sends his condolences

I'm so sorry to hear of Fran's passing. My thoughts are with John tonight. I remember Fran said to me " I love people, people are part of life, and I love life" . Fran you loved people and you always gave more than was expected. You were probably one of the purest and most decent men I will have ever met in my lifetime. I hope people will often think of you and smile. So farewell for now old friend and sleep well now.
