My deepest condolences, Owen and family, on the very sad passing of your mother. Thinking of you at this difficult time.

I first met Frances in November 2019 when she was organising the residents of Castletroy Retirement Village where we both lived. Our gallant group did not succeed in saving the village but throughout the struggle Frances was a wise, witty and very astute leader. Her effervescent personality brought laughter to any gathering and it was easy to believe that she was in demand, right into her 80s, as a voice coach and a film extra. My condolences to her family, each of whom she adored. You have lost a warm and memorable woman and all who knew her will miss her.

I was very sorry to hear the sad news of Frances's passing. She was a great supporter of amateur drama and the DLI Summer School. She was a very popular participant down the years and in recent years we looked forward to her visits to UL for tea and chats. Frances was very witty, always in good humour and great company. My sympathies to her family and many friends. May she rest in peace.

My condolences to all the Blackburn family on the loss of their precious mother. Cherished memories of our many outings together, from cruising the Douro to seeing Andre Rieu in concert. Our deep interest in drama formed our bond throughout the decades since we met in 1970s Rolestown.

Its well nigh forty five years since I first met Frances. She was a member of S.D.G back then....if I remember correctly.
Over the years we travelled many roads together & separately, in the name of Am.Theatre, both at home and abroad!
Frances may have swopped her piano for a harp but I'm sure that she's entertaining all the pals that have gone before her! Just imagine the hooley happening in heaven right now!
