It was an honour to have worked with such a caring and passionate educator. Frances went above and beyond when it came to pastoral care, such a kind-hearted lady with a smile for everyone.

I was very sorry to hear of France's death. Frances was one of a group of talented students from O'Neill Park who studied geography at Maynooth College at that time. I knew Kevin and Kathleen well. I extend my deepest sympathies to the Murphy and Burke families.

Fran was a loving and above all a very kind person. I was only lucky enough to know her for a few short years but I valued her friendship and will miss her and her smile very much. I worked closely with Frances as a fellow SENCO over many years. Frances loved her job. She loved her students. Frances was always interested in enabling all students to access and succeed in education. Frances contributed hugely to the development of the role of SENCO in the DDLETB and assisted in the development of new programmes and in research. I am aware that it was with reluctance that she eventually decided to retire but had come to anticipate a great life with Chris once her decision was made. Frances was a lady. She was compassionate and dedicated to doing what she did so well….educating. She had a profound impact on the trajectory and quality of the lives of children with additional needs as a direct result of the interventions she made for them. I was shocked to hear about her untimely passing. I hope as the days, weeks and months pass that the wonderful memories you shared will bring comfort.
