The world has lost one of the greats, my great friend Francie/Pancis.

Knowing him since we were in shorts as wee bucks, I've amassed 1000s of memories, some front of mind, many that will tumble out unexpectedly when I hear a song, smell or taste something, or when I visit an old stomping ground. They are all precious, now more than ever; and almost all will make me smile.

Francie was delightfully demented; in that he came out with stuff that was so unpredictable and outrageously funny that he made me laugh constantly.

He had a heart of gold and was a philanthropist in terms of deeds and when he could, with his money.

He had lots of near misses, but survived them because he had too much yet to give us all, and he sure gave us an awful lot.

He loved us and we loved him in turn. I'll miss him terribly but I'll always remember his laugh and how he made us laugh.
