Condolences to all the Colton family on the passing of Frank who was a true gentleman and legend.
I had the pleasure of meeting Frank on his 84th year of life when he arrived down to join our cardiac rehabilitation classes. His determination and positivity brought such energy to our classes.
He has inspired so many to keep exercising and I m proud to have thought him how to skip. He will be missed, but his legendary soul will live on, in our classes.

He was such a wonderful character and a genuinely lovely person. I have very fond memories of him—whether on the golf course or sharing a pint and laughing about how badly we played. I feel grateful to have met him.

He was always so proud of his family, both as a father and a grandfather.

Frank was a thorough gentleman. I have so many fond memories of his visits to Manchester when I was a child, be it a special occasion or a Christmas shopping trip and of course the family holiday to Prestatyn. He was always welcomed in the highest possible way in our house; entering through the back door and always loved listening to the chat. He was very gracious, listening to my squeaky violin playing and he also had the honour of watch my school nativity where he said my performance as Mary was just like the Reverend Mother. One time when him and May were visiting I was gathering money for a sponsored charity event at school or guides. Without hesitation Frank offered me sponsor money and it was the biggest amount I received. I was so proud to go and tell everyone about my increase in sponsorship funds. As Frank departs so does his tradition of the Christmas Day phone call, that important connection with family that I hope I and the Colton family will continue to foster for many years to come.
