It is with tremendous sadness that we have learned of the passing of our dear colleague Francis. Over the past number of years, Francis has been a huge supporter of Shine and his untimely passing has left everybody who worked with him in a state of shock and disbelief.
His dedication and commitment to developing a mental health service that provides dignity and respect to all those who engage with it, will form part of a rich legacy that will be honoured and respected by all those who had the pleasure of knowing and working with Francis.
As a person, Francis was a gentleman and his kindness and generosity of spirit were always evident, regardless of circumstances or the nature of the encounter.

I had the wonderful privilege of meeting Francis in Tralee in 1999. He was such a wonderful person, full of fun, capable of anything and everything. To mention one was our travel itinerary to Australia.

He will be missed by all that knew him. Our lives were positively improved by having known him, loved him and spent time with him.

He was like big brother looking out for us all. Always smiling laughing and we had such good times. Fond memories. Never forget you Frankie. You will be missed by many.
