Our sincerest sympathies to the Cantwell family on the loss of their beloved Frank. He was an absolutely lovely gentleman, always bright , positive and cheerful, and, of course, impeccably dressed. He really "shone" on the Fitzamblers away trips, both in Ireland and abroad. Everyone who knew him will miss him greatly.

Sad to hear the death of Frank a wonderful, warm man with a great sense of humour. He and I had a common bond, his loss of Paul and mine of my son Eoin. We were 'blood' brothers because of this and could support one another. We met each year at the annual mass in St. Michael's. Like others, I will miss the Jaffa biscuits on Saturday mornings! Safe journey Frank, one of the best. Con Feighery

I was very sad to hear of Frank’ death. Frank made time to talk to everyone. His genuine interest in what was happening in people’s lives, his smile, his laughter, sense of fun and devilment was unique and infectious. I was lucky enough to enjoy Frank’s company on many social occasions, on Fitzamblers walks in Ireland and particularly on Fitzamblers overseas walking trips in Europe. My enduring memory of time spent with Frank was the laughter and fun we had our a trip to Forest Hill Tennis Club in New York in 2003.

How instinctively the words "friendly", "gentleman" and that "smiling face" surface in the many condolences that have been published. Frank truly was one of those rare persons who brightened up the day or all who crossed his path. I was deeply saddened to learn of his passing and shall miss his presence around Fitzwilliam L.T.C. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
