I’m really sorry to hear the very sad news that my great friend Frank has passed away. I have well over fifty years of fond memories of an amazing friendship with Frank and Ann. My deepest sympathy to Anna, Redmond, Peter and all the O'Donoghue family. I have many happy memories of time spent with Frank on stage with Waterford Dramatic Society in numbers of different productions and, when his knees permitted, on the tennis court! Wherever we were, it was always fun.
Condolences to Anna & family on the passing of Frank, the greatest mentor and manager I could ever have wished for during my 7 years at Waterford Chamber. Frank broke the mould and set a new standard in everything he did especially in the Chamber movement. He had no fear of anything or anybody. Frank fostered an extraordinary family environment at work where every idea was a good idea. This experience of best practice in people management and his keen interest in my growth and development has served me so significantly throughout my professional life. I will be forever in debt to Frank, though he would never accept this fact. We'd meet for lunch regularly and became lifelong friends; I will miss him greatly....the laugh, the irreverence, the guidance, advice, the honest bluntness and of course the dead pan wit. How he made me laugh! Sleep well Boss.
I was so terribly saddened to learn of the passing of Frank.
Sincerest sympathy to Anna and the extended O'Donoghue family on the great loss of such a remarkable man from all of your lives.
I have such fond and wonderful memories of Frank. He provided invaluable encouragement and support to me when I first set up my architectural practice in the Chamber of Commerce building in Waterford and he became my first landlord in his role of CEO, as a result.
He was a tonic to meet daily on the stairs, or in the tea room, as he regaled us all with his great sense of fun and his wonderfully quick and wicked sense of humour!
Frank was a passionate promoter of Waterford and Tramore and worked tirelessly for both, instigating many outstanding projects and publications.
It was an honour and a privilege to have known him.
Rest in eternal peace, Frank and many thanks for just being you.
To Anna, David, Stephen, Vincent, Gavin, Valerie & Shirley, my thoughts are with you all and your extended family at this tough time. I am so sorry for your loss. Frank always had a wonderful energy, full of life and mischief, with a glint in his eye. May he rest in peace x

Mamie
So sad to have received this news. Frank was my uncle and somebody I looked up to... and still will for many years to come. Words cannot describe how caring, kind, supportive he was to my mum and my family. Probably the most honest and genuine fellow I met. He included everyone in everything and always liked to share his wicked sense of humour. The penultimate time I saw him was on my wedding day when he travelled to the UK, despite ill health, to make, what I classed as, the 'ultimate big screenstar cameo in a movie production' - he chuckled when I told him that. When my son Lucas was born, he was one of the first people I called and his support and love to him was unmatched. My hearts and prayers are with Anna and David, Steven, Gavin, Vincent, Valerie and Shirley and my Uncle's Red and Peter at this time. Frank truly was 'one in a million.' God bless you Uncle Frank xxx
Sincere sympathy to all of Frank's family and friends. Such a pleasant and interesting person to meet. May he rest in peace.

My sympathy to the O'Donoghue Family on the death of Frank. Any time I met him, even recently when he passed my gate he was always there with a smile and a glint in his eyes. I have fond memories of Frank and my late husband John sitting at my kitchen table , glass or two in hand putting the world in order. A lovely man who it was a pleasure to have known and who may now rest in peace.

Deepest sympathy to Frank's wife and family at your sad loss. Frank O'Donoghue was a larger than life member of the Chamber of Commerce movement. He promoted Waterford and the South East. He will be sadly missed. May his soul rest in peace.
