Frank's passing came as a great shock.

He was an active member of SIPTU's Retired Members and embodied the best values of trade unionism in everything he did. He will be sadly missed.

Greatly saddened to hear of the death of my old colleague and friend Frank O’Neill. Frank was a quiet but solid trade unionist and socialist and a very nice and genuine person. A great SIPTU activist who had his own independent mind on how things were done, a supporter of the SIPTU Dublin District Council and an active delegate to the Dublin Council of Trade Unions.

Sorry to be away and unable to say goodbye to Frank today.

May I add the sympathies of the executive and delegates of the Dublin Council of Trade Unions who will miss Frank’s participation, support and activity.
