We were neighbours of Frank on Cardiff Castle road Finglas for many years and he was our local man in the Bank. Frank helped all of us at various times over the years especially my parents, attended their funerals and my sisters, he was a great guy and we are all so sorry to hear of his passing he held the respect of many many people..

Thoughts and prayers are with you today Della and family. Sorry for your loss. Frank had that rare capacity ‘ to light up a room’ with his presence and humour. Fond childhood memories of Furlong visits from Dublin to the their country cousins, the Coggers. We, being cousins to the Coggers on the other side, adopted the Furlongs. The result, lifetime friendships were formed,
Coolegrane, Foxford and Galway.

My deepest sympathies to Della, Rob and Suzanne. Very sad to hear of this news. I have very fond memories from over the years of Frank coming to the house in Springlawn with gifts after his trips to the states, being his "banker" for games of cards in Finglas, and watching the football at his house back in the day (it felt like he was the first person in Ireland to have Sky Sports!). A great man (and godfather) and a great character. Will be sorely missed. RIP.

I can remember going into AIB Cabra branch in the late 1970s (where my dad Bill Ryan & Frank worked together) & Frank helped me open my first bank account, a milestone day for me. He was always so friendly & kind to my sister Ann & I when we visited the branch. I remember being shown pictures of your wedding that dad & mum (Betty) were at and I absolutely loved your beautiful ‘princess like’ wedding dress with long veil. I was delighted that you & Frank got to come to my own wedding many years later. He was a lovely friend to dad & mum & they always spoke so highly of him. May he rest in peace x
