When he heard i was from Leitrim he sang Lovely Leitrim at the top of his voice!

Frank McCabe has left behind a long legacy of doing good works for others, like the Christmas lights fund raiser he and his late wife Teresa arranged for various charities, like the manner he was always on hand to add his wonderful singing talents to countless concerts with his Stetson and That old Windy City of Chicago, his party piece, or like the manner he was always available to help out his neighbours or community activities. Frank had joined the Ballinamore Men’s Shed and was immediately popular with everyone and, despite ailing health, was anxious to participate in whatever activity was on the programme every night. He was a dab hand at the Twenty Five too and cute enough for all the card sharks in action. He will be sadly by all the members, most of all for his humorous outlook and his charming personality.
