To Orla, I was very sad to hear of the death of your dad, Frank recently. I remember him fondly, especially the fun he elicited from mammy (Mary & Michéal Maher) whenever she met with him. We lost a great part of Thurles this week. Frank McKevitt had an unbelievable influence on me over my time in Johnston’s, how to interact with people and do everything to the highest standards. I can still remember him telling me “Stay with me and you will learn more here than you ever will in college” and he was spot on. I worked there for 10 years and enjoyed every minute of it. RIP Frank, may Heaven be your bed

Very saddened to hear the news about my good friend and team mate from the Roscommon 1951 All-Ireland winning Minor team. Frank was a great character and great story teller and will be sorely missed by his remaining team mates from the 1951 team.
