So sorry to hear of this. Mr.Nash was a wonderful teacher of mine at St.Thomas high school. He will always be one of my favorite and most memorable teachers. He had such a kind heart. You will be missed ❤️. Rest in Peace.
As is evident from the comments posted here, Mr. Nash was an incredibly caring teacher and person
I was lucky enough to teach with him in my first couple of years and he taught me so much.
He taught me the importance of creating relationships and connections with your students and I will always be grateful for that.
The halls of St. Thomas will always have a bit of "Nash" in them ❤️
I am deeply saddened to hear of Mr. Nash's passing. He was hands down my best and favourite teacher ever, a wonderful human being. He made me feel special during those insecure years of high school. From reading all of these tributes , I realize that I am far from alone with that sentiment. He touched the lives of numerous students. Fifteen years ago at our 25th high school reunion, I was elated to to see him there. He remembered almost everyone's name and was his usual jovial self. I was hoping to reconnect again in the near future but I've missed my chance, at least on this earth.
Frank Nash, you will always be special to me. May you R.I.P. although I suspect you are stirring up some fun in heaven.
My heartfelt sympathy to all his family, friends and loved ones in Ireland and Canada.
I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to be taught and coached by Mr. Nash. His dedication to his students and school life were like no other. He taught me about science and about sport but his lessons extended beyond those years and domains for me. Now a teacher myself I realize how great his decidation was and what sacrifices must have been made to make our experiences so significant.
Thank you Mr Nash for all you did. Rest in peace.
Mr. Nash was a teacher and mentor that so many of us admired. He made us believe in ourselves and inspired us to achieve great things. Although it has been many years since I saw him last, I spoke of him often to my daughter and shared the great things that he taught me. I am truly fortunate to have known such a wonderful man. My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
I was so sad to hear of the passing of Mr.Nash. He was a fantastic teacher and friend. I last saw him at my grandfathers funeral as they were great friends too. He was such a passionate and caring man and I know that he definitely made a huge difference in my life.
God bless. Hope you are having a party up there.
Every once in a while, you come across a teacher who truly cares about its students. Science was always difficult for me to grasp - Mr. Nash made it fun & interesting. He knew how to engage his students & very generously gave his time to those of us who needed it. I hope you know what a difference you made to so many of us. A great teacher & an even better human being. May you rest in peace in God's loving hands. You will always be fondly remembered.
Mr. Nash was my chemistry teacher at Mount Royal catholic High School in 1978. I will always remember him as having a great sense of humour. I really enjoyed having having a teacher from ireland, since my mother's family are also irsh. So sorry to hear of his passing. RIP, Mr. nash!
Mr Nash was such a jovial spirit in the St-Thomas community. My high school experience would not have been the same without his hard work putting on the variety show every year. Such a wonderful person who touched many hearts.
May you finally be af peace Frankie .
Although you were not my teacher, you truly were a lovely person, always friendly and mad for the chats, you would always salute and give a firm handshake, rest in peace Frankie
I was utterly devastated when I heard of Mr. Nash's passing. He was just one of those teacher's that you'd never forget and who was always a part of your memories when rehashing the good ol' high school days. I will always be grateful for the laughs and of course the bonus points ! I know he made a resounding impact on myself and my mum who volunteered in the library and became quite close with him through their Irish connection. May the road rise up to meet you. Nashkins for life. Rest in peace, Sir. Gone but never forgotten.
Frank was an admired and esteemed fellow pedagogue. Much loved by all who had the good fortune to meet him.
Mr. Nash was an incredible human and teacher. He believed in me when not many other teachers or staff did and I will alway be grateful to him for that. My condolences to his family, R.I.P
I am much saddened to hear that Frank has died. We had such great fun together . We were part of Saoirse, a theatre group , based in Montreal. This was back in the seventies. My condolences to the family.
My deepest sympathies to the family.
I had Mr. Nash for Grade 9 math and 25 years later I can still remember his energy and spunk when he taught. He was the best teacher I ever had and made learning fun. After reading all these condolences I hope he knew what a difference he made in so many lives. Rest in peace, sir.
Mr. Nash, you were a man with such heart. You touched the lives of so many. You made us laugh. You made us love Chemistry!

I'm so thankful to have known you. My thoughts are with your family and all those who knew and loved you.
Frank was a great teacher, coach ,dancer and also an actor. I have great memories of sharing the stage with Frank in an amateur production of Juno and the Paycock in the late seventies. . He was Mr Gallicker and I was Maisie Madigan.

He was a gentle giant.

R.I.P.
Thank you Mr. Nash. You were my favorite teacher.
Mr. Nash will be dearly missed. I enjoyed chem class in sec 5 immensely because of him. He was always upbeat, funny, and expressed his happiness like no other. I don't think there was any teacher happier about his students doing well than him.
Rest in peace. You'll be in our memories!
I enjoyed teaching with Frank at St. Thomas. He certainly inspired respect in all his students. We all miss him.
Mr. Nash was an amazing teacher and rugby coach. The passion and commitment he showed his students was unmatched. He played a huge role in making my high school years special. He need so much life into St. Thomas. RIP Mr. Nash you were the best
Mr. Nash was, hands down, the most dedicated teacher I ever had; he always went over and above the duties of a teacher. He coached me in volleyball, helped me with physics even though he was my chemistry teacher, mentored me for my personal project and most importantly always made me laugh. He knew how to get through to all students with his simplified teaching methods, as he would say, 'you put the lime in the coconut!' He was truly an amazing man who I will always remember.
I'll always remember Mr.Nash as one of the best teachers I've ever had. He was animated, witty, and made science fun. He was strict when he needed to be and practised tough love, but always with an emphasis on the love. The variety shows that he organized brought so much spirit to the school. I know he'll live on through the memories of his students because he lead by example, and helped to inspire. Goodbye Mr.Nash, you will be missed!
Mr.Nash was one of the great ones. He was invested in his students inside and outside of the classroom. It was important to him that we not only understood the material he taught but were excited by it like he was. He taught us science lessons and life lessons (KISS principle sticks with me) and he encouraged us all to get involved in life, even if that was playing school volley ball at 5 foot nothing, after all he was the coach!
He was so special to so many people, lucky enough to have known him.
Sending my deepest condolences to his family,
So saddened to hear about Mr. Nash's passing. He epitomized what a teacher should be...one who inspires, engages, and truly cares for his students. He was that and so much more. Thank you for making the awkward high school years a little easier. You will be missed.
To a wonderful teacher who cared deeply about the education and connecting to the students. You have clearly made your mark on this world, you will be missed. My condolences to family for loosing such a great man.
As a friend and colleague at St.Thomas ,like all the students who have sent condolences,I loved Frank : his generosity, his humour, his repertoir of great songs and stories and his real ability to connect with his pupils. We were all lucky to have known him and all poorer for his loss.Safe home, Frank.
Mr. Nash, thank you for being one of the many teachers who inspired me to become a teacher myself. You will always hold a special place in my heart. R.I.P
Mr Nash was a huge part of our grade and always gave his time for us whether it was dances, hockey games or just teaching us what "Joe on the Street" didn't know about science. We were all lucky to have him as a teacher and a friend, may you rest in peace Flash.
My condolences to the family,
Mr.Nash truly made me who i am he gave me the strength to get up on stage and sing and dance, he pushed me in class to overcome my dyslexia. the amount of times he would wipe away my tears in his classroom and help me through my life. i could never repay him, he was amazing in his own way and a person that touched hundreds of students lives. he will be deeply missed.
wishing him peace.xo

Frank Nash was a superb teacher with a kind heart and much patience. It saddens me to know of his passing as the world will forever be changed without him. He was an inspiration and mentor to his students and as we grew into our adult lives, he became our friend; only special one's can manage to do both and do them both so well. RIP Frank, you will always be fondly remembered by your old students from FMCHS and I for one thank you for being that special teacher and person you were!
As the parent of two of Mr. Nash's students, I always felt grateful that there was someone like him to teach our sons. Mr. Nash was often the topic of conversation because of all the funny ways he had of explaining scientific subjects. He will always be remembered in our home. Such a great communicator who genuinely liked young people! Such a great teacher! Thank you, Mr. Nash. You made our job as parents much easier. Our condolences to his family and friends.
Grade 10 was my favorite year at St-T...as well as my least productive. Chemistry happened to fall into a spot with 4 straight awesome classes. Mr. Nash made Chemistry fun, when I had no interest in it. His class was always a lot of fun, full of joking, but he never hesitated to put you in your place (which he did to me and my buddies when we'd get carried away with laughter). There was a time for fun, in which Flash was a willful participant, and a time for learning. I always considered him in my top 3 St-T teachers, and I was thrilled to catch up with him at the St-Thomas 50th Reunion a couple of years ago, and introduce him to my Chemical Engineer wife, thought he would be happy about that. You touched so many kids lives at St-Thomas Mr. Nash, may you Rest In Peace. You will be missed by many. My condolences and thoughts are with the family and friends of a great Irishman from my ancestors home of Cork, Ireland. Thank you Mr. Nash for making me excited to go to class.
I am so saddened to hear of the passibg of such an inspiring and dedicated teacher. It was always a pleasure to walk into the classroom and hear about Mickey Magnesium and Olivia oxide going to the dance. You were loved by all students and will forever be a legend in the St-Thomas halls. May you always have the best seat in the house to cheer on the rugby players in your lucky hat.
I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Nash.  You have touched so many lives in ways that you couldn't even imagine! You will be greatly missed Sir. May you rest in peace knowing what a true inspiration you were to so many people.
My deepest condolences to the family of Mr. Nash. I am yet another former student whose life he had a positive influence on. RIP Mr. Frank (the Flash) Nash.
Mr. Nash was truly one of a kind. He was the kind of teacher that made a difference, over and over again, to so many students. He made me feel like I was part of something bigger while simultaneously making me feel unique. He made me feel like I could do anything - in school, in sports, in life. I feel so thankful to have had him as a teacher, and will forever be grateful. Mr. Nash, Thank you for everything you did for me, and all those before and after me. Thank you for your smiles, laughs, dance moves and support. You will be forever remembered. Rest in peace.
Mr Nash taught a subject I always struggled with in a way that made me look forward to class. He managed the bouncers and ran the variety show, helping to run the school in more ways than I appreciated at the time. Hr contributed to many of my fondest memories from high school, and it is heartbreaking to know he isn't around to create more memories for more people.
So sad to hear of Mr. Nash's passing. Definitely the best and funniest teacher I had at St. Thomas. He made chemistry easy to understand and his lectures and lessons were always full of humour. He was one of the great ones. Rest in peace, Flash!
I was heartbroken upon hearing the news that Mr. Nash had passed away. Easily my most favourite teacher, for reasons that go so far beyond the teaching itself. Sending my deepest condolences to his family & friends. Rest in peace, sir.
RIP Mr Nash ..... He was by by far one of the best and most memorable teachers I ever had. Many of my high school memories were of his class.
There truly are no words. You helped me some of the hardest and most awkward parts of my life Flash. You will be missed.
Flash,
You will always hold a special place in our hearts! Celebrated and never forgotten, thanks for leaving a great mark in our lives.
Mr. Nash was a huge part of my high school life at St. Thomas. His enthusiasm for everything was inspiring and he literally volunteered for everything, even if he didn't know a thing about it! He just wanted to make sure his students got to do all the activities they wanted. As he was new to our school, I actually tried to get transferred out his class before meeting him and a very wise VP told me I should give the new guy a chance. I enjoyed every minute I got to spend with one of the most entertaining teachers I had. He made learning difficult subjects fun. Condolences to all who loved him.
Mr. Nash was a great chemistry teacher- full of enthusiasm, full of fire-related chem experiments and mischief, but also a very kind person who was great to bump into in the halls. He had a way of making the day brighter.
I will always remember Mr. Nash with great fondness. He truly was a very special man. He was an amazing teacher and a great source of inspiration. My condolences to Mr Nash's family.
Mr Nash was the best teacher I have ever had. His passion for life and great sense of humor really lit up a room, and I remember his classroom having such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I am very saddened to hear news of his passing; my deepest condolences to his family and friends for the devastating loss of a man who was truly larger than life.
You supported us, you encouraged our talents, you were hard on us, you made us laugh. Our sincerest condolences to the family of this truly great human being.
Mr. Nash was a beloved teacher, mentor and friend to so many of his students. His patience and fun loving personality allowed so many to form a special bond. It is obvious that he has touched many.

I never had the pleasure of being his student, but still formed a relationship with him when he sensed that I was having trouble. I have been inspired to be a teacher just like him-one who goes above and beyond for the well being of his students.

My thoughts are with his family. Rest in peace, Mr. Nash.
I will always remember Mr. Nash's energy & encouraging ways. He always made me feel like I could do anything. The world needs more teachers like him. May he rest in peace.

Mr. Nash, you were, by far, the best science teacher I've ever had. You certainly made chemistry fun and memorable with the hands-on demonstrations and the one-on-one help you offered to all students. You made St. Thomas a better school just by being there. You'll always be in our memories. Here's to you, the Flash Nash.
