Rest in peace Frank
Frank was a constant presence in & out of my adult life, we shared the same political beliefs - we also shared a love of the outdoors - traversing many a Wicklow mountain in the 70's & 80's. I re-joined Frank on walks in later life - with the National League of the Blind & on the Mid Tipperary Hillwalker weekends. Quiet, gentle, unassuming, polite, republican, socialist, social conscience, well-read - all these words have been used to describe Frank - I will miss him.
My condolences to Simon, Aoife, Brid, Eamon & extended families.
Fond memories of working with Frank in LGPSU . Never in bad form always had a smile on his face . A really gentleman. RIP Frank back with his lovely mam Mrs .O’Donnell .
So sorry to hear of Frank's passing, always enjoyed his company in Nerney's. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Keep walking and smiling Frank, hasta la victoria siempre!
Comhbhrón ó chroí to Bríd and to Frank's family. I remember that Frank was sometimes hard to find because he was always on the way to, from, or in the middle of some job in or around IMPACT. Even though busy, when you found him he would still be happy to help with whatever was needed. If he had to put you "on the list" you left him content in knowing that he had it boxed off, and so it unfailingly was. Unassuming, diligent, friendly and a very interesting colleague. Suaimhneas síoraí.

Condolences to Brid, Simon and Aoife. Like so many former colleagues in the FÓRSA trade union - formerly IMPACT, before that the LGPSU - I thought Frank was not only a fabulous work colleague - he was also a really nice guy. Working with Frank was an absolute pleasure; he was totally reliable. For years he took great care of his mother in her Gardiner Place apartment. Outside work, I often met him with a group of drinking friends in Grogan's Pub South William Street - always there in the corner on Friday afternoons. Frank and his pals earned the nickname "the boys of the old brigade" - among them was Liam Sutcliffe who proudly took full responsibility for blowing up Dublin's Nelson's Pillar on March 8 1966. Frank will be missed by many. John Meehan
