Frank O'Sullivan

Saddened to hear of Frank’s passing. I have many happy memories of riding at Skevanish as a teenager. Frank (“Mr O’Sullivan”) made a huge impression and I will always remember his lessons. RIP.

Frank and Gillian were such a
Huge part of my equestrian career from the start of my BHS journey but more than that they were real friends to me through out my life. Although we would not have seen each other much in recent years. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to have a great chat with Frank at birthday party for Gillian last year. Rest in Peace dear Frank.

I was so sad to hear of Frank's passing and so sorry for your loss Kieran, Vanessa, and Gillian. Your family remains in my family's thoughts and prayers. Though I only had the blessing of seeing Frank a handful of times when visiting your family in Ireland, I will always remember his kindness, generosity, and hospitality. I always left chats with him feeling warm and even inspired - he imparted so much kindness, wisdom, and even witty humor, for which I'm forever grateful.

A great privilege to have known this special man and been privy to his knowledge and a witness to his life philosophy. What was absorbed will stay with those who knew him, however little. His ethos will remain even though his physical presence is gone. May he rest in peace after giving so much to others.

They sadly don't make his breed anymore. Very sorry to hear of this sad loss, deepest sympathies to all the family.

Frank will be sorely missed. He was equally at home with horses as well as in the kitchen. A very intelligent man with a great sense of humour who had an infinity for music (especially Bob Dylan) and who loved a glass of red. I have many great memories at Skevanish. Pony Club, Cross Country, Dressage Events and many, many more. Frank was an inspirational and amazing teacher. I am forever grateful to Frank and Gillian allowing me to have so many happy hours at Skevanish with the horses.

I was delighted to have meet him in Skevanish at an dressage event back in July, he was still the same ole character I remembered. May he rest in peace.

My sincere sympathies, to you Gillian, Vanessa, Kieran, and extended family, on the death of your beloved, Frank, R I P. May he Rest In Peace, rewarded for his goodness and kindness in life, he was a person who loved his native patch , the business he and his good wife set up in the OSulivan farm, where their interests in country life were very much evident, as from small beginnings , they built up a great business, horses, and dog kennels, I remember, seeing their operations take off , and was renowned for its quality and professionalism, people flocked to the center, where Frank would meet you on arrival, put your mind at rest, and in now time you were in control of your horse, and soon you were out in the course, confidentially jumping around the field. He had developed great friendships, over the last number of decades, coached hundreds of people to ride horses, and a kennel, that gave great comfort and care to the many dogs who visited the farm. He was a lovely pleasant person, soft spoken, a good neighbour, and enhanced the environment in which he lived, and definitely, not guilty of damaging the environment, but certainly not the ozone lare. Our society is very much the weaker, the poorer, with the loss of my neighbour up the road , he had a great ability to give you as much time, as it took, you came away refreshed , and reassured that your visit to Frank and his family was definitely worthwhile. Farewell, Frank it was great to have met you. God bless all.
