Anne,
Sending you my deepest condolences and lots of love and support at this difficult time. Frank was a wonderful person and I feel lucky that I got to know him a little bit through you. I have a lovely memory of the morning over coffee and breakfast in your house last Christmas.
There really are no words, but I'm thinking of you, and of course of Texa. Be gentle with yourself.
Best wishes,
Cliodhna xx

Dear Anne, I am so sorry to hear of Frank’s passing. I met you in Carrickfergus last Nov and you told me about yourself and Frank arriving there by sailing boat one time. Although I never met Frank, I imagined the two of you gentle kindred souls having lovely adventures together. Le grá Marian
In my experience, teachers who actually genuinely care about students are rare. It's a great compliment for me to say that Mr. Savino was one of those teachers. You knew he cared and was thinking about you outside of school hours. You just knew he was someone you could trust. People like this are just rare people. Irish teacher Mrs Griffin is the only other one who was like that. Mr. Savino was an absolute diamond and you knew you were in the presence of a very special man when he was around. I'm honoured and extremely lucky to have had him as a teacher. RIP
So sad to hear of Franks death. Condolences to Anne and all of your Friends and Family. I spent many years singing with Frank in Cantairi Avondale, we made wonderful music and had a lot of fun. Frank was a force of nature and loved by all in the Choir. He was some Man for one Man. Let the Music keep your Spirit high Frank.
RIP Sir.
Always remember your kindness & your lovely singing voice!
A wonderful Teacher.

The sad news of Frank’s passing was a great shock to us although we met again only a few times in all those years since we first came across each other.
In the closing years of the 1970s, we shared a house in Maynooth with Anne and Frank – probably the most carefree time of our lives with lots of happy memories coming back now as we write this.
Looking back we appreciate all the more how much both of you gave to us in those formative years.
Go raibh mile maith agat.
Du bist nicht tot, du wechselst nur die Räume.
Du lebst in uns und gehst durch unsere Träume. (Michelangelo).
Wishing you, Anne, all the strength you need in these difficult times.

Sincere condolences to Anne & family on the death of Frank. I had the great pleasure of working with him in Collinstown Park. He was a caring, passionate, loyal and committed teacher, educationalist and colleague. Full of charm and bold as brass! In the words of so many of his beloved students, he was ‘a legend’.

In the 1970’s, Frank was a neighbour and friend, living in Temple Mills Celbridge. He introduced Leo and I to the joys of canoeing and kayaking…Never was the River Liffey so enticing as viewed from the canoe.. Fond memories of a charismatic man Frank Savino. Condolences to his wife Anne and family. May He Rest in Peace.
Sincere condolences on Frank's passing, so many memories of working with him, you would hear him before you saw him because he was always singing! He fitted an awful lot of living in to one life and I am so glad for that. He meant an awful lot to our parents and students and that lives on.

I had the privilege to get to know Frank just little over the past year, due to his unwavering passion in protecting Castletown.
He was a steady and robust believer in following the truth of his convictions and this he did with no fanfare, just a grounded presence.
And that presence meant a lot to so many.
May he rest in peace.

"I began to know my story then. Like everybody's, it was going to be the story of living in the absence of the dead. What is the thread that holds it all together? Grief, I thought for a while. And grief is there sure enough, just about all the way through. From the time I was a girl I have never been far from it. But grief is not a force and has no power to hold. You only bear it. Love is what carries you, for it is always there, even in the dark, or most in the dark, but shining out at times like gold stitches in a piece of embroidery."

I was tremendously grateful to know Frank - he was such a force of nature in so many ways. Witty, warm, kind. I will always be grateful for our conversations about books, and birds, and nature, and life. Sending my love to you, Anne, and of course dear Texa.

Frank was a truly remarkable man whose love and passion for life left an indelible mark on everyone he met. Love and democracy were at the very heart of who he was, and he carried those values into every interaction, every conversation, and every relationship he built.
Our shared passion for motorcycles brought us together, and I’ll always cherish the countless hours we spent in the saddle. But it was the man beneath the helmet—his warmth, his genuine way of listening, and his ability to truly connect with people—that made him unforgettable.
Frank had a way of making everyone feel seen and heard, no matter who they were. He didn’t just care—he engaged, he understood, and he inspired. I loved him deeply and miss him profoundly.
Rest easy, amigo. You’ll always ride with me in spirit.
