Dear Rita, how lucky we were to get to know you and Frank when our Jessie and your Eoin fell in love. We did not have many opportunities to spend time with you, however have wonderful memories of your amazing hospitality and generosity each time we came to Ireland. You made us feel so at home. Frank was always ready for airport pick ups and drop offs no matter the time. He ensured we never had an empty glass and was a perfect host. We all had the pleasure of celebrating Jessie and Eoin’s wedding in Portugal, and you were both so welcoming of our family and friends. What an amazing time we had. We share 3 beautiful grandchildren now and have loved seeing you and Frank (on videos and in photos), playing, having fun and surrounding them with love. We have wonderful memories of Frank and will hold these in our hearts. Our love and prayers are with you, Niamh, Emer, Eoin and families. Frank will always be with you, in your hearts every time you think of and talk about him. May he rest peacefully.

Dear Rita, Niah, Emer & Eoin,

We had the pleasure of knowing Frank on your many visits to Dubai and hearing his endless stories of life and the great experiences he had and that he shared with others along his journey. Frank always had a remarkable way of drawing people in — whether through his humor, his wisdom, or simply his genuine interest in others. Time spent with Frank was never dull; it was filled with laughter, reflection, and the sense that you were in the presence of someone truly special.

He was a true gentleman who adored you all.

During this very difficult time, we hope you will hold close the laughter, the great stories, and the beautiful memories you shared with Frank/Dad.
May those treasured moments bring you comfort, strength, and peace in the days ahead. The impact Frank made and the love he shared will remain with all of us, always.
Sleep well now Frank and rest in peace.
All our love to you Rita.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time.
I'm very sorry to learn of Frank's death. He was a very constructive presence during his year as an MPhil student in Trinity, never seeking the limelight and always respectful of younger people with far less experience of the world.
Our sincerest sympathy to Rita ,Niamh Emer and Eoin on the occasion of Frank’s death. As stated elsewhere Frank was a magnificent person and a wonderful and worthy Ambassador. He remained a consistent friend since we met Frank in Zambia in the 1980’s and he proved a great support to ourselves and many others over the years. A lovely multi talented person and our sympathies to Rita and family at this time .
Sincere condolences to Rita and all the family on Franks untimely passing. I had the pleasure of working with Frank in DFA and can say that he was a true gentleman and a great colleague. Frank was a hard worker but most of all he was a great friend, he was kind, empathetic and always in good humour. He was a great representative for the State and will be sadly missed. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílís.

My sincere condolences to Rita and to Frank’s family.

I worked with Frank on the Secretariat of the New Ireland Forum 1983-4. The Forum was to be the subject of his Masters Thesis.

Frank was the glue that held together a disparate group. His efficiency and practicality, his courtesy and discretion, his sense of collegiality made a huge difference to our work. His mild manner belied a policy expertise and a fierce commitment to serve his country.

May He Rest in Peace.
Sincere sympathy to Rita and family on the Frank's passing. May he rest in peace. As many others have said, he was a great colleague who truly " did the State some service". I also benefited from his wise advice and friendship over the years in Irish Aid and subsequently in the DFA Archives Unit.

Sincere sympathy to Rita, Niamh, Eoin Emer and grandchildren on the sad passing of Frank. May he rest in peace. Frank, Olive O'Shea and family
Sincere condolences to Rita and to all of Frank's family and friends. I may have known Frank many years ago when I was in D/Finance/Public Service and he was in D/Foreign Affairs and, if I did, I wish I had known him better. I have only really got to know him in recent years at Probus Marine in Dun Laoghaire. We both had an interest in history, coming to it from two different perspectives. As someone else said here, he was a gentleman and a scholar and a joy to be with. Heaven will be wiser and kinder today with his arrival.
Our condolences To Rita and Family .
My Sincere sympathies to Rita and the extended Sheridan family on the death of Frank. I remember Frank from years ago in St. Aloysius, a true gentleman. May he rest in peace.
Rita, Niamh, Emer and Eoin. It was with great and continuing sadness that all our family learned of Frank’s passing. Frank has been an inspiration to us since we first met you all in Zambia 39 years ago. We have never met anyone who had such a balance of fun and integrity, who could assure everyone that no matter the difficulty, things would work out fine. Frank was a terrific storyteller who held everyone entranced, but storytelling came easy to him as he lived all those madcap experiences.
Frank, we saw, was a terrific diplomat and a great inspirational representative for Ireland in all his varied roles in the Dept of Foreign Affairs.
We had so many cherished times together over the years in various countries, and lovely times in Bray as well.

We have so many great memories about Frank that when we need cheering up, we will think of these, and he will make everything brighter.

With deepest sympathy to you Rita, Niamh, Emer, Eoin and grandchildren.

Also Michael and Bridgit. our condolences on the passing of a unique, one of a kind person.

May you Rest in Peace, Frank.
I am deeply saddened by the passing of Frank Sheridan. I would not have the life I have without meeting Frank. He guided us towards living in Bray after our time in Zambia, this is where I created a life and where I still happily reside today. A small, serendipitous gesture of kindness from the Sheridans can indeed change the course of someone's life. Frank had the most exciting stories because he lived a most exciting life with Rita and his children, Niamh, Emer and Eoin.
Our condolences to Rita and family. We were very sorry to hear of the death of Frank. Our sympathy also to his brother Michael my brother in-law and my sister Bridget. Sincerely from Mary Green and family.
Sincere condolences to Rita, Eoin and the whole family and extended family. I only spent a few days with Frank but feel like I knew him my whole life through the incredible stories I had heard. An amazing life well lived, with a wonderful family and grandchildren to carry his legacy. May he Rest in Peace.
Frank and Rita were a tremendous support to me and my family when we went through a difficult patch a number of years ago and we will be forever grateful to Frank for his kindness support and caring attitude. RIP X
Emer, thinking of you, Rita and family at this very sad time, my deepest sympathies on the lost of your dad.
I am very sorry to hear of Frank's passing, and extend my sincere condolences to his dear wife Rita, and children Niamh, Emer and Eoin. Frank was a most interesting and hard working colleague in the Department of Foreign Affairs in what was a most fulsome career.
