I met Fred when I started my apprenticeship in Thompsons in 1966. He showed me how to develop films in the company darkroom and gave me driving lessons. He was a gentleman. My brother attended Fred's funeral and tells me there was a great turn out ex Thompson employees, that says it all. God rest you Fred.
