Dear Mike and all the Duffy family,

I was very sorry to hear of the passing of your father, Fred Duffy.

I only had the pleasure of meeting him once, during a Rotary Club collection not so long ago in Stillorgan. I introduced myself and mentioned that I had read his book. With a quick smile, he replied, “Which one?”—a simple moment that left a lasting impression.

Though our exchange was brief, he struck me as a very kind and engaging man.

Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss. My thoughts are with you all at this time.
I had exceptionally good luck to run into Fred in the early 90s as a supplier to one of his entrepreneurial projects. Later, he asked me to join that adventure as a member of his team. He became my mentor. I learned so much from him. A true leader. EQ second to none. I will never forget him. He made me a better person. I extend my heartfelt condolences to Helen and the whole family.
