So sad to hear this. You were a wonderfully kind man. I came to bray as a strange girl from Newcastle you were the first person who spoke to me, making me feel at home.we spent many an evening putting the world to rights,You even put up with my endless singing. We became friends and You told me about your Leslie, the love of your life. Although I am saddened at your passing I take great comfort in thinking of you together.

So sorry to hear of Fred's passing - may he rest in peace.
Absolutely heartbroken to learn of Fred's passing. A soft spoken gentleman that had time for every friend he met and every stranger along the way.
Sometimes life throws things at you that you just can't explain. A sadness that rolls down your face but yet there's no rain. A sleep you never wake up from and yet there's no pain. How a friendship that lasts beyond a lifetime is everyman's aim.
No doubt, Fred will be missed by many and remembered by us all.
I told my both my little girls today that Fred had died. They asked "was it don't forget the bread Fred?". Sadly I said to them yes.
Don't forget the bread Fred.
RIP Sir.
