We were really sorry to hear the sad news of Fred’s passing. So many good memories of nights after golf, drama, etc.
Especially remember many nights of the “gang” downstairs in the dining room in Woodquarter on New Years Eves.
Wishing you all some comfort at this difficult time. Fred was always such a gentleman and good company.

It was with great sadness that I learned of Fred’s death. As former Principal of The Burrow School, I have vivid memories of Fred’s involvement as a very active member of the school community. Very sad that my very good friend Fred has died. We shared a great friendship for 40 plus years & he will be missed by all who knew him for his many qualities particularly his constant good humour & his positive attitude to all aspects of life. Our social evenings on Mondays & Wednesdays will be less enjoyable without his company.

So sorry to hear of Fred’s passing and my sincere condolences to Deirdre and family. Fred hired me in Cara in 1979 and started in Portobello House, Fred was a great influence on me personally and professionally . One of the few true gentlemen I was lucky to share time with.

Saddened to hear of Fred's passing.

We have such fond memories of him when we lived in Sutton Park and then of course with the Burrow Players and our connections with Howth Parish. Fred was always the first to know his lines, was a key player when it came to decorating the stage on Saturdays, and always keen to have a giggle back-stage!
