My condolences to all the extended Tilson family and also to Freddie's many friends. He will be sadly missed by all who had the good fortune to have made his acquaintance. The previous condolences already expressed indicate the warmth and esteem in which he was held within the community. It was my pleasure to meet up regularly with Freddy in the Country Club and enjoy his kindly and humerous thoughts on topics of the day. He had the special gift of extending the kindness and warmth of his own character to those he conversed with. A special amiable man who will be sadly missed.

We are very sorry to hear of Freddie's passing, deepest sympathy to all his family. We had some very good times together over the years. Freddie was a true friend and a gentleman. We are sorry that we were away and not able to go to his funeral. May Freddie rest in peace.

Whenever I returned home to Derryheen, Freddie always met me with a firm handshake and a warm smile. He always had time for a chat and a catch-up, and was always curious as to how Shaun's fishing was progressing, especially if he had been out on Annagh Lake.
