Rest in Peace Freddie from Jane and Donnacha Loughrey
In this great city that has no end,
days pass by and weeks rush on
before I know it a year has gone.
And I never see my old friends face
For this life is a swift and awful place
He knows I like him just as well
as in thoes days I rang his bell
And he rang mine, we were younger then
But now we are busy tired men
tired of trying to make a name
tired of playing a foolish game.
Tomorrow I say I will call on Fred
to show I was thinking of the head
but tomorrow comes and tomorrow goes
Up the road, yet miles away.
A text that came from Flynno last night
to tell me of your awful plight.
So that what we get and deserve in the end
Around the corner a vanished friend.
From one of your 70s pals
was going to give u a call in the last week, guess we shouldnt put things off......will miss you very much Fred.
