So sorry to hear of Fred's passing. We have such happy memories of the afternoon we spent with you and delicious breakfast Fred cooked for us next morning. The conversation was so interesting and enjoyable.

On my 40th birthday, under the pretext of fixing his computers, Fred made for me the most fantastic Chinese birthday dinner. I remember his quick wit and dry humour and having a good laugh with Fred and his friends and family. Rest in peace my friend. You will be missed.

Dear Antoinette and Stephen,

I so hope you will not mind this condolence message.
In the early days of my career in Guinness I spent a few years looking after the salaries of the Power Station employees. I remember well the first day Fred arrived as our new engineer. He was a wonderful character and the pipe was never out of his hand. On one occasion both yourself and Stephen came into the Power Station office to meet Mick Mc Cormack the supervisor in charge and the rest of us staff. It was so unheard of at the time but I truly remember how lovely an occasion it was and you were so friendly and relaxed with everyone. Sadly most of those men will long have passed away but that day was talked about for a very long time afterwards with fond memories. I have so many memories of Fred many of them funny and happy. In those days the power station was an amazing little world on its own and the centre of control and power for the whole brewery and a hive of activity and stories. Its with great sadness I read of Fred's passing and sent you and Stephen my deepest sympathies.
