My sincerest sympathy to Cecily and to all of the Corbett family on Freyne's passing, of which I was very saddened to hear.

We first met in September 1965 in St. Munchins College. We were both boarders and neither of us knew anyone else in the college at that time. We immediately bonded. Freyne taught me how to play chess. He had a great intellect with a broad spectrum of interests. He also demonstrated considerable ability on the sports field. After school our paths parted and regrettably, its been so many years since we last met.

Rest in peace, Freyne
