I have fond memories Keane he put a games room on for us out the back of the shop that had local families that would come from abroad every summer and Easter, the Pearce Hall discos giving us a lift in his mini bus there and back to make sure we would get home safely and keeping a eye on us all to make sure we were safe the chipper and penny sweets in the shop always with a smile rest in peace sir you will always be remembered

I have lots of fun memories as a kid going on summer vacation from camp to Aughacasla lol. We were always made feel very welcome. Our trips to the supermarket always ended in the kitchen having tea and biscuits. And of course, the soft serve ice cream was always a big hit.Gay loved his family and was always very proud of them. He will truly be missed in the family and the community. Rest in peace, uncle Gay.

Heartbroken to hear of Gay’s passing, and I am so sorry that I cannot be there. Gay was a wonderful man with the most incredible stories. He and Eileen always welcomed us into their home with open arms. We also have Gay to thank for introducing us to his grandchildren, Erin, Sean, and Adam, nearly 20 years ago, who remain very close family friends to this day. My thoughts are with the family at this incredibly difficult time.
